Regional Talent Spotlighted on "A Look at the Arts"

In-Studio Guests: Sarah & Brandon Denton & K.J.
 
First Half:  Regional Actresses/Singers Sarah Denton and Brandon.
 
 
The Dentons are two cast members from the modern musical comedy --"It Shoulda Been You" -- presented by L'arc en Ciel Theatre Group  at the Great Oaks Theater -- 13109 Wicker Ave -- in Cedar Lake, IN.   The husband/wife duo guest in-studio to chat about the production and perform a few songs from it live on air.    Directed by Angie Lowe -- "It Shoulda Been You" -- opens February 17 runs through February 26th.  Lowe also joins the conversation by phone near the end of the first half, adding some additional color to the program as she shares some history about L'arc en Ciel, now starting it's 51st Season.

Second Half:  Local Songwriter/Performer KERRY JAMES ROGERS, JR.
 
In-studio for the second half of the program will be Kerry James Rogers Jr. -- professionally known as K.J. -- a local singer/songwriter from Gary, Indiana.   This young artist has been getting a lot of media attention and has an inspiring story about overcoming severe childhood health issues to chase his dream of making original music.   K. J. will perform a live song in studio as he shares his story.

 

Tom Lounges has been a radio personality and music journalist since 1979. For the last 43 years, Tom has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly music columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper.
