CHARLIE DANIELS Rides The Musical Range with “NIGHT HAWK” — His New Album about the Cowboy Life

Originally broadcast on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2016

MUSICAL GUEST: CHARLIE DANIELS

Frequent guest CHARLIE DANIELS returns to the chat once again with TOM LOUNGES about his new album “NIGHT HAWK,” which is his salute working cowboys recorded in a front porch/campfire style that lends itself to the kind of sound one might hear on the trail when cowboys are kicking back, picking their strings and clearing the dust out of their throats with traditional songs and a few new ones penned by Daniels.

Among the other topics to be discussed are Charlie’s recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the upcoming “Volunteer Jam” that takes place in Nashville, Tennessee on November 30th that celebrates Charlie’s 80th birthday.

“I’ve known Charlie for a long while now and we’ve chatted over a dozen times on my various radio programs over the years and for print features I’ve written,” said show host Tom Lounges.   “We first met when I was assigned to cover his Uptown Theater performance in Chicago in the early 1980s and he Charlie has remained one of my all time favorite musical guests ever since.  I have the utmost respect and admiration for Charlie and the incredible catalog of music he has created over the decades.”

Another milestone has been added to Daniels’ million mile reflections as he continues his life’s journey — celebrating his 80th birthday and still going strong, still making great albums and still delivering energized live performances.  God bless him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE and wishes for many, many more!
