LYLE LOVETT Reflections on His Career, His Music and his Tour with Robert Earl Keen

This edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired on WEDNESDAY, OCT. 12, 2016

MUSICAL GUEST: Guitarist LYLE LOVETT

The musical guest on this edition of “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges”  is entertainment renaissance man, LYLE LOVETT, who chats about his 30-year recording career, his early days, and the upcoming “An Evening With…” co-headline concert that bring Lovett to the stage of Star Plaza Theatre (8pm) in Merrillville with fellow Texas Troubadour ROBERT EARL KEEN.

LYLE LOVETT has broadened the definition of American music during the course of a career that spans 14 albums, along with several film and television series appearances.

The Texas native has fused elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in an unconventional style that has made Lovett one of those impossible to pigeon-hole artists — although understands why most folks think of him as a “country” musician — and he’s okay with that!

Take note and save the date, because on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14ROBERT EARL KEEN will guest live on Tom Lounges’ weekly afternoon program, “A LOOK AT THE ARTS with Tom Lounges,” at 1:00pm Central time.
