EAST CHICAGO’S JAMIE HARRISON CHATS ABOUT “ARTRAGEOUS” & HIS REGION ROOTS

This editon of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired on Tuesday, May 17, 2016

MUSICAL GUEST:   JAMIE HARRISON of ARTRAGEOUS

For this edition of“Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges”, the guest is  East Chicago native, Jamie Harrison, a second generation performer (his father is regional music icon Jim Skafish) currently performing with the internationally touring performance art ensemble, “Artrageous.”

The critically-acclaimed art group incorporates a myriad of art forms and styles — music, dance, puppetry, and even bubble wrap — into its celebrated performances.   The spring/summer tour of “Artrageous” stops on May 21 at the Rialto Square Theatre (102 N. Chicago St.) in Joliet, Illinois.

This program features a conversation with Harrison about his local roots, his career to date, his goals, and his work with “Artrageous.”   Audio clips from “Artrageous” and a few of Harrison’s own original tunes will be spotlighted.
