GUESTS: CARLA COOKE, RHONDA ROSS & ROBYN CHARLES

TOPIC: “Living With A Legacy:  The Real Daughters of Rhythm & Blues “

February was Black History Month and in respect to that, each of the month’s installment of the weekly program, “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges,” has been part of an extended series with guests spotlighting the evolution of Black Music in America.  While February is now officially over, the series continues for one more evening.

Tonight’s program features — The Daughters of R&B — CARLA COOKE (daughter of Sam Cooke), ROBYN CHARLES  (daughter of Ray Charles) and RHONDA ROSS (daughter of Diana Ross) talking about their legendary parents and about their own careers in entertainment.  Recordings of each of these gifted ladies will be featured to prove beyond a doubt that they all carry on the musical gene that has made their famous parent a true icon of black music.

So get ready to meet the NEXT GENERATION of R&B greats — the bloodline continues with these three ladies, now touring America as “The Daughters of Rhythm & Blues.”
