February is Black History Month and in respect to that, each February installment of the weekly program, “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges,” will be part of a month-long series with guest co-hosts and live performers briefly spotlighting the evolution of Black Music in America.  

 

Co-hosting TONIGHT for the February 9 — “BLUES: Acoustic to Electric” — segment is R&B veteran BILLY SHELTON.  This evening’s in-studio group is THE SPANIELS FOREVER with guitarist PERNELL DAVIS.  Tonight’s program also includes a live call in from  international bluesman JOE LOUIS WALKER.  

Tom Lounges has been a radio personality and music journalist since 1979. For the last 43 years, Tom has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly music columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper.
