Each year Tom Lounges — host of Lakeshore Public Radio’s weekly “Midwest BEAT”interview/music program and long time music columnist/feature writer of The Northwest Indiana Times – reflects on the previous year’s crop of homegrown new album releases, and picks his personal Top 10 favorites.
“Tom’s Top 10 Regional Albums” publishes in The Northwest Indiana Times each year in January and over the years has become a much anticipated feature for regional artists and the fans who follow and support them. On his weekly “Midwest BEAT” radio show, Lounges follows up the published article with a special radio program showcasing a song from each of ten artists/albums that made the list.
This year’s program features the Northwest Indiana and Chicago area artists –PETERIK/SCHERER, PETE BERWICK, WHATISMU, CHRIS BOLINT, LIZ MANDEVILLE, SHOTGUN ELVIS, LEXI ELISHA, THE DIGGITY, THANKS AGAIN and THE MAD ANTS.
