Fresh from his 2015 U.S. tour that brought him to Hammond, Indiana’s “Festival of the Lakes” and Chicago’s Joe’s On Weed Street night club in 2015 — CHARLIE DANIELS — returns to guest on the weekly “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges” radio program on 89.1FM-Lakeshore Public Radio.
Charlie Daniels has been a favorite interview guest of show host Tom Lounges’ since his early commercial radio days of the late 1970s; tonight marks Daniels’ fourth time on the popular “Midwest BEAT” program since it launched on public radio three years ago.
On this visit, the big man in the 10 gallon hat chats about his new live CD and DVD companion release, “Charlie Daniels Band: Live At Billy Bob’s Texas,” and of course plenty of music from the new live record is featured. There is even a rarely heard, long lost studio classic from one of Daniels’ ’70s LPs that is one of his personal favorites.
