For the second time in just over a week, police were called to investigate a potential threat at Valparaiso High School.
Valparaiso Police say they were notified just after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday that a potential threat of violence had been called into the school. Officers say the school was placed on a "lockout" status, where they secured the perimeter of the building, while classes continued inside as usual. Investigators determined that the threat was not credible, and those inside the school were not in any danger.
Police reported that the lockout status had been lifted by around 2:00 p.m., but officers planned to remain in the area until the end of the school day. The incident remains under investigation.
