One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 in Porter County Friday.
Liberty Township firefighters say it happened just after 5:00 p.m. in front of Arbor View Animal Hospital near County Road 300 West. Firefighters say they found two heavily damaged vehicles in the roadway and a third in a ditch.
They tried to extricate an individual who was trapped in a small pickup truck, but the person succumbed to their injuries, despite medics' life-saving efforts. Occupants of the other vehicles were treated on-scene.
U.S. 6 was closed for hours during the crash investigation.
