Drivers using I-94 in LaPorte County should watch for changing traffic patterns. Starting Wednesday, the two left lanes and shoulders will be closed in both directions between U.S. 421 and U.S. 20. Traffic will be shifted to the right, with two 11-foot lanes in each direction.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says it's part of the second phase of a bridge replacement project just east of Johnson Road. Work is expected to continue through late October.
Meanwhile, the town of Schererville says Pine Island Drive will be closed Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between 81st Place and Porter Place for a culvert replacement.
