Fifty-three percent of Porter County voters chose the Republican Party ballot, while 45 percent chose the Democratic ballot.

The most popular race in Lake County was for the Democratic nominee for sheriff, with almost 28,000 votes. Lake County's biggest Republican race was for U.S. Representative, with almost 16,000 votes.
