The Town of Winfield will get some ideas on how to capitalize on its growth in the coming years. Winfield is one of three local governments chosen to take part in the Indiana Bond Bank's fourth annual Flipping Finance Challenge.
Marketers, entrepreneurs, students and other civically-engaged individuals will gather in Indianapolis this Saturday to hear about the challenges. They'll then have a week to come up with proposed solutions, with the chance to compete for $5,000 in prizes.
The Town of Winfield has two challenges: "How might the Town market itself as one of the fastest growing communities in Indiana?" and "As a growing community, what priorities, programs, or capital improvements should the Town of Winfield implement for enhancing quality of life for residents?"
Other challenges will come from Jay County, the City of Jasper, the Indiana Executive Council on Cybersecurity and Maverick Energy Consulting.
