A new judge has been appointed to the Lake County Superior Court. Rehana Adat-Lopez has officially been appointed by Governor Eric Holcomb.
Since 2013, she's served as the director and attorney for the Lake County Court Appointed Special Advocates program, which helps guide children through the court system. Before that, Adat-Lopez was an attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services. She has a law degree from Valparaiso University.
The vacancy stems from the death of Judge Diane Ross Boswell last October.
