Governor Eric Holcomb touted a few Northwest Indiana infrastructure investments during Tuesday's State of the State address.
"When the South Shore Double Track and the West Lake Corridor are completed, it won't just reduce travel times — they will — but they'll fuel an explosion of new investment and opportunity in Northwest Indiana, the likes we haven't seen in decades," he said.
The governor also included a new Westville Correctional facility on his list of future state capital projects.
Holcomb highlighted Indiana's continued success in steel production while also calling it "a magnet for the industries of the future," including the country's largest solar farm planned in Starke and Pulaski counties.
