White Ripple Gallery accepting submissions for exhibit

January 7, 2015 — White Ripple Gallery & Co., through a partnership with the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and the University of Notre Dame, is accepting submissions for the upcoming exhibit “Indigenous Landscapes: Imprints of the South Shore.”

The exhibit will celebrate the natural settings near and along the shores of Lake Michigan native to the states of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan that remain undisturbed since the times of the indigenous people of the area.

Submissions can depict any natural setting or landscape, native plant, etc., that is indigenous to the states of Illinois, Indiana or Michigan in or near the Lake Michigan shore that remain undisturbed since the times of the indigenous people. Any medium, as well as abstract or representational pieces, will be accepted. Interested artists can submit up to five pieces for consideration by visiting Submissions are due by Monday, Jan. 19.

The exhibition, a White Ripple Gallery & Co. exhibit and an official exhibit of the University of Notre Dame’s Indigenous World program, will be on display in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall at the Indiana Welcome Center Feb. 9 through March 19.
