Should Minimum Wage Be Raised?

President Barack Obama announced his support to raise the minimum wage by $1.75 an hour by 2015. The increase would mean at least a raise of $70.00 per week for people working full-time. Critics charge that it could stall hiring, even as the economy struggles to take off. Regionally Speaking Host Steve Walsh talked to Derek Thomas, with the Indiana Institute for Working Families and retired IU Northwest Professor and economist Don Coffin.
