WEEKEND FIGHTING IRISH GAMES AT U.S. STEEL YARD RELOCATED BUT MORE GAMES NOW ON TAP
GARY, IN – The University of Notre Dame baseball games scheduled for this weekend at the U.S. Steel Yard have been relocated due to the impact of winter weather on the south shore.
The Fighting Irish will make their 2014 U.S. Steel Yard debut on March 29th with a Saturday matinee vs. ACC opponent Wake Forest at 2:05 p.m. The games scheduled for this weekend, Saturday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 23rd vs. Virginia Tech have been moved to another facility near Indianapolis.
In addition, the RailCats have announced that Notre Dame has added a three-game weekend series at the U.S. Steel Yard on April 25 – 27 vs. Northeastern University.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play in a great venue in the U.S. Steel Yard,” said Notre Dame head baseball coach Mikio Aoki. “We are grateful to the Railcats and Salvi Sports for opening up their stadium to us and we’re looking forward to the games we will be playing there.”
