Valparaiso University President Mark Heckler and Provost Mark Schwehn will compete in a Water Games Olympiad on Friday to benefit the World Relief Campaign of the Social Action Leadership Team (SALT), the social justice ministry of the Chapel of the Resurrection.  Faculty, staff and students are also invited to form teams to compete in the Olympiad.

Events include:
– 5 cone weave with water bowl on head
– Balloon toss through a huge dream catcher
– Extreme water shooter at a target

The winning team will get to do a victory dousing of their opponent with the infamous Gatorade water cooler. Each team must raise at least $40 to participate in the Olympiad, with proceeds going to this year’s World Relief Campaign, which is raising funds for elementary schools on a Native American reservation in South Dakota.

The Olympiad will take place on the lawn outside the Chapel of the Resurrection beginning at 11:35 a.m. this Friday.
