Together Canadian hard rock trio — RIK EMMETT, GIL MOORE and MIKE LEVINE — took the U.S. by storm in the late 1970s when they brought their “Rock And Roll Machine” down from the Great White North armed plenty of melodic hard rock and a pyro-eccentric live show that was second to none — then or now.

Collectively known as TRIUMPH — the trio “fought the good fight” to create an exceptional body of work that spanned ten studio albums that included driving songs like “”Hold On,” “Lay It on the Line,” “Fight The Good Fight,” “Magic Power,” American Girls,” “Somebody’s Out There,” and others which all became and remain FM radio staples.

TRIUMPH went on to epitomize what came to be called — “ARENA ROCK.”   The guest on this installment of “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges” is Triumph’s co-founder, co-writer, keyboardist and bassist — MIKE LEVINE — who Lounges first met backstage at the Aragon Ballroom during Triumph’s landmark “JUST A GAME” tour.

During his live call-in from his recording studio in Canada, MIKE LEVINE reflected on TRIUMPH’s career, music and caught fans up on what the band and its members have been up to lately.
