Tribute to Officer Killed in Domestic Violence Case
September 26, 2013 — Governor Mike Pence joined residents in the City of Indianapolis today to pay tribute to Officer Rod Bradway who was killed in the line of duty.
Officer Bradway was fatally shot Friday while responding to a domestic disturbance call during which Bradway confronted an armed man who was holding a woman and a baby captive.
Today during a funeral service at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis Governor Pence told the crowd of hundreds that, “words can never give proper voice to our sorrow, our gratitude, our respect.”
The Governor also said, “this is a time for all of Indiana to mourn—to mourn the passing of a husband, a father, a hero to us all.” Officer Bradway leaves behind a wife and two children.
