Senior Financial Analyst, University of Notre Dame
Mary Scott is a senior financial analyst at the University of Notre Dame. She has over 10 years of higher education experience focusing on budget and financial planning models and analyses, creating executive-level and university-wide financial communications, college savings programs, and strategic initiatives.
Since 2012, Mary has lead a cross-functional team at Notre Dame to design and execute a saving for college program. This program educated over 800 faculty, staff, and alumni on the various college savings options focusing on 529 plans. This program hosted live and online seminars as well as a multi-media website.
Previously in her role at Notre Dame, she has lead the annual budget strategy process, providing analysis and expertise in areas such as multi-year budget development, financial aid, international programs, compensation planning, and peer and higher education financial trends.
Prior to joining the Finance Division at Notre Dame, Mary served as a Senior Consultant for Protiviti, formerly Andersen in Chicago, Illinois. She served a variety of clients with compliance initiatives including HIPAA Privacy regulations as well as performed general technology security control audits.
Mary holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame. Mary, her husband Michael, and their two children live in Granger, IN.
