This Special Edition “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges” program originally aired at 6pm with an encore broadcast at 12am/Midnight on FRIDAY, JANUARY 17th.

TOPIC:  THE ALL-STAR WORLD STAGE CONCERT (Naperville, IL on January 18th)

Special On Air Guests:  MIKE RENO (vocalist of Loverboy), KELLY KEAGY (drummer/vocalist of Night Ranger) and JIM PETERIK (Guitarist/Vocalist of Ides Of March)


For 14 years, JIM PETERIK (founding member of SURVIVOR and THE IDES OF MARCH) has been opening up his personal phone directory and calling up famous and near famous celebrity friends to come jam with him.  These events are called “WORLD STAGE CONCERTS” and Peterik says he averages two such star-studded shows each calendar year.

His latest  took place on Saturday, January 18 in Wentz Hall at North Central Collage in Naperville, IL.

The super-charged line-up for this latest WORLD STAGE live event included this program’s guests — MIKE RENO of Loverboy, KELLY KEAGY of Night Ranger and JIM PETERIK‘s powerhouse band, THE IDES OF MARCH.    Also on the concert bill but not on the radio program were Keith Burns of country rock band Trick Pony, singer/songwriters Colin Peterik & Leslie Hunt, and singer/songwriter David Pack of the pop/rock band Ambrosia.

This radio program includes a pair of famous World Stage live jams jams (including one featuring blues guitar great Buddy Guy), plus popular studio tunes from Ambrosia, Colin Peterik and Loverboy.  And not will you hear great songs, but you will also learn the stories behind such famous hits like Night Ranger’s “Sister Christian” and Loverboy’s “Working For The Weekend.”
