On this show, it’s the opening day of the Indiana General Assembly Host Steve Walsh talks to  Rep. Hal Slager, Republican of Schererville about local and statewide priorities, from the Illiana Expressway to the same sex marriage debate.

We’ll also look at why teachers are leaving the profession with a nationally recognized sociologist and a former local teacher.

Before that, former Superintendent of Public instruction Tony Bennett now faces a state ethics commission investigation into whether he used state resources during his campaign. We have the AP reporter who broke the story starting in July.

Guests include:

Associated Press Reporter Tom LoBianco

Richard Ingersoll, professor in the University of Pennsylvania’s education school.

Former teacher, LaDawn Ridenour
