Charles Taylor’s fighters reach Firestone’s plantation. The plantation boss records the events in his journal, keeping track of resources given to appease the rebels. The Liberian workers appeal to the American boss for refuge, but are told that nothing can be done and that they will be safe. They are not. The Americans close the plantation and leave.
