Kellogg Adds Some “Snap, Crackle, Pop” To Lakeshore’s “Midwest BEAT”
This edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired on Tuesday, November 18 @ 6pm CST.
This program featured musical guest STEPHEN KELLOGG – singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist – a native of Massachusetts who got his start in the music biz while attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst during the mid-1990s.
Kellogg independently released several solo albums before attracting the attention of Universal Records in 2004, who signed him and his then new band The Sixers to a contract.
Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers developed a strong following by incessant touring. “We did over 1,300 gigs in less than 10 years,” recalled Kellogg of the Sixers-era, which came to an end in 2012.
Back to working mostly solo these days, Kellogg’s latest album came out in 2013 and he is working on an adventurous new collection that finds him working outside the box in regards to recording.
See Stephen Kellogg live during an intimate performance on December 10 in the lower level coffee house at Front Porch Music in Valparasio, IN. More info: www.frontporchmusic.com.
