State Won’t Appeal Atheist Celebrant Case

August 7, 2014 — Indiana is the first state to allow atheist celebrants to solemnize marriages the same way ordained ministers can after the Attorney General opted not to appeal in a lawsuit challenging the state’s marriage statute.  Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports:
