State Education Panel Talks Today About Gary Roosevelt
September 19. 2014 — The State Board of Education’s Committee on School Turnarounds hosts a public meeting at 11 a.m. Friday at I-U Northwest’s Library Conference Center to look at what’s been done to improve the academics at Roosevelt Career and College Academy, the Gary high school the state took over three years ago and turned over to private operator EdisonLearning two years ago.
State board member, Gary resident and attorney Tony Walker is a member of the Committee on School Turnarounds and is scheduled to be at the public meeting.
The committee will tour Roosevelt before the meeting.
