INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Board of Education on Wednesday voted to extend the window for school corporations to administer the ISTEP and IMAST standardized tests.

Severe weather this winter caused school districts to lose instructional days. The extension is meant to help students deal with those problems and came at the request of several school districts.

The ISTEP testing window is now April 28 through May 13 and the IMAST is from April 28 through May 9.

The board also reviewed feedback for the current rules for teacher licensure adopted in 2010. The board will look further into adjunct permits, administrator requirements, reciprocity with other states, and reflect on revisions in April.
