Opening February 13th, 2015 in Valparaiso’s Memorial Opera House, Les Miserables is one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals. It’s been in performance in New York City, countless touring productions, as well as internationally for over two decades. After all this time, the northwest Indiana region will finally have its own local production hit the area, performed entirely by local talent.

Lakeshore News’ Eric Reithel sat down for a phone conversation with one of the actresses of Les Miserables, Amanda Dietrich, who will be appearing on stage as ‘Madame Thenardier.’ They talk about the show, the process of bringing one of Broadway’s most famous pieces of theater to life, and what audiences can expect when they go.

For more information on Les Miserables, which runs for four weekends of performances, visit the Memorial Opera House’s website.
