ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — And then there were two — Ohio State and Oregon. Each school has a record of 13-1 on the season.

UNDATED (AP) — The scene is set for the NFL conference championship games next Sunday. The AFC title tilt will feature New England against Indianapolis as the Colts beat the Broncos yesterday. The NFC championship game has Green Bay playing Seattle as the Packers eliminated the Cowboys yesterday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Rex Ryan is the new head coach of the Buffalo Bills. A person familiar with the discussions tells The Associated Press that Ryan has agreed to coach the Bills after six years as head coach of the New York Jets. He will replace Doug Marrone (muh-ROHN’), who abruptly opted out of the rest of his contract on Dec. 31.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — There are just two undefeated teams in men’s college basketball now. Second-ranked Duke was defeated yesterday by North Carolina State 87-75. At one point in the game the Blue Devils trailed by 19 points. The remaining two unbeaten are Kentucky and Virginia.

KAPALUA, Hawaii (AP) — The final round of the PGA’s Tournament of Champions in Hawaii is being played today. The lead at the end of third round play yesterday was shared by Jimmy Walker and Hideki Matsuyama (maht-soo-YAH’-mah) at 17-under-par. This is the first event of the new year for the men.
