South Shore Clean Cities Marks it’s accomplishments, recognizes partners
South Shore Clean Cities, a local non-profit organization with the goal of reducing the United States’ dependence on imported oil is marking some of its biggest accomplishments. Carl Lisek, the Vice President of Legacy Environmental Services says South Shore Clean Cities celebrated its 15 year anniversary and in that time has made a huge positive impact on the environment. Lisek says says the organization now working on several collaborations to help reduce dependence on imported oil including a partnership with NIPSCO’s IN-Charge Electric Vehicle Program. Participants can receive a credit of up to $1,650 for the installation of an in-home charging station and free charging between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily. The clean cities program had its annual luncheon on Tuesday in which about its partners were recognized.
