Sosinski To Run For LaPorte County Sheriff
November 20, 2013 — LaPorte County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jim Sosinski is making it official: he’ll seek the Democratic Party nomination for the office of Sheriff. The Michigan City native set up an exploratory committee back in June. He said since then he received overwhelming support from citizens.
Sosinski has been with the Sheriff’s Office for 32 years. He started his career as a Jail Officer under the late Sheriff Jan Rose. Sosinski says if elected he wants to see law enforcement and social service agencies working together to combat the problems at the root causes in an effort to prevent crime.
Sheriff Mike Mollenhauer said he chose Sosinski as his second-in-command for his high moral character, integrity, honest, fair and a true professional law enforcement officer.
