January 30, 2014 — Dan Clark, Lakeshore Public Radio —

The search continues for a missing Michigan woman who disappeared in December.

Indiana state police conducted a search operation on Lake Charles in the town of porter as part of an ongoing missing person’s case involving Teleka Patrick. Patrick’s gold 1997 Lexus was found abandoned by an Indiana State Trooper late at night on Thursday, December 5th, 2013,  on I-94 west bound just east of the Porter/Burns Harbor exit… Which is adjacent to Lake Charles.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department’s specialized water search team, drilled a grid pattern in the ice on Lake Charles and placed sonar in each of the 55 holes. Data from the sonar equipment was transmitted to a computer at the scene.

Nothing turned up that would aid in the investigation, but data collected will allow for a complete, detailed map of the lake, police said.
