This edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired on TUESDAY, APRIL 15th @ 6pm CST

Program Guest: R&B Icon SAM MOORE of SAM & DAVE

The guest on this edition of “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges”  is ’60s Soul Man SAM MOORE, the surviving half of the iconic R&B duo SAM & DAVE.

Mr. Moore’s new single — “They Killed A King” – is a tribute to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. released to radio and retail on April 4th, which was the 46th Anniversary of Dr. King’s death in Memphis.

Not only will you hear that powerful new tune — recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis just miles from where Dr. King was slain by an assassin’s bullet – this radio program also features a few Sam & Dave classics and plus a handful of cool duets Moore recorded with some very famous Sam & Dave fans, including Sting, Stevie Winwood, Paul Rodgers, and Jon Bon Jovi.

Listeners will alsohear what Sam & Dave thought of THE BLUES BROTHERS’ cover of their timeless hit, “Soul Man.”
