Santa Part of “A Christmas Story” for Northwest Indiana Kids

Santa Claus is taking some time away from his shop in North pole to visit hundreds of Northwest Indiana girls and boys.
Santa Claus sat on his Santa Mountain at the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and posed for pictures with children eager to meet him today. While waiting to see Santa, families got a chance to see six window scenes from the exhibit, “A Christmas Story” Comes Home, based on a 1983 movie, and Christmas trees decorated by local organizations.
Andrew O’Connor says is visiting Santa with his family and can’t wait to see him, “I like being here and it is fun spending time with my family.”
Taylor Collins who came out to the South Shore CVA Welcome Center to visit Santa and says, “I’m having fun because I like the displays for the Christmas Story.”
The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority says a 4×6 snap shot with Santa costs $5. Santa says if you missed Monday, he will be sitting at the top of his Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
