Ricky Phillips of STYX Talks About The Band’s New Live Recording & His Colorful Career!

THIS EDITION OF “MIDWEST BEAT with TOM LOUNGES” ORIGINALLY AIRED TWICE ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27th
THE EDITION’S MUSICAL GUEST: BASSIST RICKY PHILLIPS of STYX.
This special Friday program features musical guest RICKY PHILLIPS, bassist of STYX.   Ricky chats with show host Tom Lounges about his years with the classic rock group STYX, their live Chicagoland concerts this weekend at Star Plaza Theatre (Dec. 28) and The Genesee Theatre (Dec. 29), the group’s new live CD and DVD project, and if fans can expect to hear new Styx music in the near future.
Ricky will also chat about his years as a member of the classic ‘70s rock band THE BABYS and the ‘80s super group BAD ENGLISH.  
Various live STYX tracks from the new concert CD/DVD are featured on the show, as well as a classic song featuring young Ricky from THE BABYS.
** For the STYX concert at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN on Dec. 28 and the STYX concert at The Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, IL on Dec. 29, the group’s charity organization ROCK TO THE RESCUE will donate a portion of the funds from a special autographed guitar raffle at each venue to The Humane Society of Northwest Indiana, located in Gary, Indiana.  Thank you to STYX for helping Northwest Indiana’s homeless animals!
