The in-studio guests for this week’s edition of “A Look At The Arts with Tom Lounges” was Northwest Indiana mother/daughter team VICKI and JEN KERR — who have taken their collective hobby of restoring old furniture and repurposing items into pieces of art, and turned it into a successful family business — BLUE MOON VINTAGE MARKET — located just over the state line in the popular arts community of Three Oaks, Michigan.
Through their imagination, creative methods of restoration, including the recently popular art of chalk painting, the Kerrs have not only found their creations popular with the local folks, but have also has drawn the attention and favor of DANIELLE COLBY from the television show, “American Pickers,” whose own line of unique goods can now be found and purchased at Blue Moon Vintage Market.
DANIELLE COLBY took the time to call in and chat about how and why she teamed up with The Kerrs and Blue Moon Vintage Market to sell her line of unique collectibles, a little about her own line of goods and how she got into “pickin’.”
This program is about the Kerr’s journey from hobby to business, the niche they have found, and their connection to Colby, television’s“Queen of Rust.”
