On today’s program:  Portage Mayor James Snyder is the latest conversation with a northwest Indiana mayor.  He’ll bring us up-to-date on road projects in the city this summer and a discussion about the upcoming City Council vote on the “wheel tax,” which is really an infrastructure support tax.  Mayor Snyder will also talk about events coming in the months ahead in Portage.

Chris also talks again with former Gary Mayor Richard Hatcher, this time an update on his decades-long effort to create a national civil rights hall of fame in Gary.

We’ll also find out more about the Indiana Parenting Institute’s climax even of Parenting Awareness Month in Indiana — a “Chat and Chew” event featuring Gary native-family physician and TV talk show host Dr. Raechel Ross.  She’ll be speaking Wednesday at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center in Merrillville.
