Red Ribbon Week Message Going Strong
October 23, 2013 — Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest anti-drug campaign. The week-long celebration encourages students to make a personal commitment to live drug-free lives.
It also commemorates the sacrifice made by drug enforcement agency special agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena who was killed in the line of duty in 1985.
Jackie Sterling is the chairperson for the Porter County Red Ribbon Campaign, and she visited Lakeshore News Tonight to talk about the program. Click to watch.
