The Lincoln Saltdogs (42-37) stole a late-inning victory from the RailCats (46-32), 2-1 on Friday night.  After the RailCats grabbed the game’s first run in the top of the eighth, Lincoln’s Mike Coles hit a double to right-center to score pinch-runner Pete Parise from first in the bottom of the eighth. Mike Massaro committed a throwing error on the play allowing Coles to move to third and score on David Espinosa’s sacrifice fly to center to make it 2-1.  The game was a pitcher’s duel between Stephen Hiscock and Moises Melendez through the first seven innings as the game was held scoreless. The RailCats and Saltdogs continue their three-game set on Saturday night, RHP Billy Spottiswood (5-1, 3.55 ERA) will take the ball for Gary SouthShore and RHP Stephen Bougher (2-6, 4.50 ERA). Listen live on 89.1 FM The LakeShore and RailCatsBaseball.com beginning at 7:00 p.m.
