RailCats To Air 100 Games on 89.1 FM, The Lakeshore
GARY, Ind. — For a fifth consecutive season, every pitch of RailCats baseball in 2013 will be broadcast live on 89.1 FM The Lakeshore.

Matt Friedman will call all 100 games in his second season as “The Voice of the RailCats”. Friedman is in his fourth season as a broadcaster in professional baseball, including one season with the Frontier League’s Florence Freedom and one with the Kinston Indians, High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Matt is a Cleveland native and earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University.
Jon Mozes will join Matt in the booth for all 50 home games. Mozes is in his second season in professional baseball after spending 2012 with the Abilene Prairie Dogs of the United League as the Assistant for Media Relations and Broadcasting. Originally from Philadelphia, Jon was the Sports Director for 88.7 WNHU, the campus radio station at the University of New Haven, while studying for his degree in Sport Management and completing a minor in Communications.
New for this season, the RailCats weekly radio show, “The RailCats Report” will air on Thursdays at 6 p.m. on The Lakeshore. The show features interviews with RailCats manager Greg Tagert, players and coaches, as well as radio highlights from the past week. The show will air each Thursday during the season with the exception of June 6 and August 1.
The RailCats’ first broadcast on 89.1 FM will be the ‘Cats final exhibition game on Monday, May 13 at 7:10 against the Schaumburg Boomers. RailCats Opening Day is on Thursday, May 16 at 7:10 against the Lincoln Saltdogs at U. S. Steel Yard.
