Railcats Beat T-Bones to win series
August 8, 2013 – The RailCats (46-31) took the series from Kansas City (32-46) with a 9-4 victory on Wednesday night. With the win, the RailCats finished their six-game homestand with a record of 5-1. Trailing 4-3, the RailCats grabbed their second consecutive two-run inning in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded and two out, Mike Massaro singled to left-center to take a 5-4 lead. Nick Liles added an insurance run in the sixth when the RailCats had the bases loaded. Liles hit a high chopper to the left side of the diamond that neither Felix Molina nor Anthony Davis could make a play on. That scored Christian Vitters; who walked with one out.
