The musical guest for this episode of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” is Rock And Roll Hall of Famer – ROGER TAYLOR – drummer, co-founder, composer, and sometimes vocalist of the legendary classic rock group, QUEEN.

Taylor co-wrote a number of classic songs for the QUEEN catalog, including “One Vision,” “Under Pressure,” and “Radio Ga Ga.”

While anchoring Queen with his monster beats for the last four decades, Taylor has maintained a solo career resulting in a string of studio albums between 1977 and 2013.   A new all inclusive box set “The Lot” – and a new 18-song single CD/Double Vinyl LP collection, “Roger Taylor: Best” was released last month worldwide.

For program, Taylor called trans-Atlantic from his home in England to chat with Lounges about the current Queen with Adam Lambert tour, the band’s previous team-up with Paul Rodgers, and about Taylor’s own solo career and new releases.
