Purdue Lands 3rd Hoop Commit

October 1, 2013 -Jacquil Taylor left the Purdue campus with an offer following his official visit over the weekend and decided Monday night to jump on the opportunity. Taylor, a 6-10 forward from Massachusetts made a verbal commitment to the Boilermakers and will not take another other planned visits.

 He plays at Beaver Country Day School in Chesnut Hill, Mass.

 Taylor was scheduled to visit North Carolina A&T the weekend of Oct. 12 and St. Joseph’s the following weekend. The Boilermakers were looking for a big man in the 2014 class to go with 6-7 wing Vincent Edwards and 6-5 shooting guard Dakota Mathias, both from Ohio.

 Taylor is ranked as the No. 227 player in the 2014 class nationally by 247sports.com.
