INDIANAPOLIS — There will be two local public hearings coming up, the first to be held Monday evening in Crown Point, to offer more information on plans to build additional travel lanes on Interstate-65 in Lake County and a more modern I-65 bridge over the Kankakee River at the Lake-Newton County Line.

Will Wingfield with the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Indianapolis headquarters was on “Regionally Speaking” on Tuesday to talk about the project, part of INDOT’s “Major Moves 2020” program.

The two public hearings are: Monday, October 17th in the small cafeteria of Crown Point High School and on Monday, October 24th at the Kentland Public Library.  Both meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m.
