Porter County Taste of Care

On Thursday, June 6th, Prompt Ambulance will host the third annual Porter County Taste of Care event.  Invited guests will sample fabulous dishes prepared by chefs from local health care communities.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Porter County Triad.

Each year the event has grown in popularity and participation.  Prompt Ambulance’s marketing manager, Ron Donahue, said “Porter County Triad is an organization benefiting seniors and we are glad to partner with them this year.  Our goal is to raise awareness for their organization and hopefully $3,000 at this event.”  Volunteers from Triad will be in attendance that evening as well as Porter County Sheriff, David Lain who will accept the donation.   Local celebrity judges will vote for the Top Chefs.  Participants have been very creative in the past with presentation of their food and table decorations.  First, second and third place awards are given.  Some of the judges are members from Triad, various hospital representatives, local politicians, directors of local non-profits, etc.  UCAN will be landing their helicopter around 5pm, weather permitting, for the attendees to tour.

For more information, contact Ron Donahue at 219-545-1796.     Media is encouraged to attend. It will be held at the Porter County Expo Center from 4:30-7:30.  An awards ceremony will be held between 6:30 -7:15.
