Porter County Deals With Its Animal Shelter Issues

September 30, 2013 — Overcrowding at an animal shelter is common, especially in the Midwest where, according to the ASPCA, people are less eager to adopt animals from shelters than their counterparts in New England.  Porter County’s aging Animal Shelter is considered undersized.  The county wants to change that by building a new center, but it has not been easy.  For Lakeshore Public Radio, Steve Walsh reports.
