Police Ask for Help to Solve Latest Murder

October 10, 2013 — Today, Gary police are investigating the shooting death of an East Chicago man.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office says 41-year-old Marlon Allen died last night of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police Corporal Gabrielle King says police found Allen in the street near 42nd and Vermont Street approximately 8:00 pm after residents in the area reported gunshots.  She says Allen had no signs of life, and the Coroner’s death notification lists the case as a homicide.

King says Corporal Ed Gonzalez (881-4750) and Detective Lorenzo Davis (881-4738) can be contacted if anyone has any related information.

The Coroner’s Office says it pronounced Allen dead at 9:12 p.m. last night.
