December 4, 2013 — Gary Police say they have an identified suspect in a murder this week, and they’re looking for him.

Police say Anthony Terrall Williams is not in custody, though identified in a probable cause affidavit today for the murder of Damian Reedus.

That document says he shot Aja Jester Monday morning while she was giving him and Reedus a ride home in her minivan.  The court record says Jester told police that Williams shot 34-year-old Damian Reedus in her minivan before shooting her and taking the vehicle near 21st Avenue and Georgia Street.  Police found Reedus dead in the Chrysler minivan later Monday morning, abandoned in the 1900 block of Pennsylvania.

The affidavit lists probable cause that Williams committed crimes of murder, attempted murder, carjacking, aggravated battery, batter by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.

Jester was hospitalized for surgery, telling police the bullet that hit her went through her neck.  The Lake County Coroner says Reedus died of a gunshot wound to the head.
